Mr. Agyemang-Badu has 17 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying and Procurement Practice, and currently works as a Consultant/Technical Adviser to the Central Tender Review Board, the Board with the highest approval threshold under the Public Procurement laws of Ghana.

His capabilities extend into the leading on, and preparation of, Technical and Financial Proposals writing for Services Tenders, preparation of Tender and Contract Documentation for Goods, Works and Services Assignments; preparation of Interim Valuations; Valuing of Variations; Contract administration of Development Projects and the application of Project Management Principles to the Management and Implementation of Works Infrastructure Projects.

Mr. Agyemang-Badu has been an active Team Player in undertaking the design, planning, cost management and supervision of various Civil Engineering and building Projects. Specifically, he has worked as Project Quantity Surveyor, carrying out Project Administration and Cost Management of the under listed key projects:

  • Promoting Partnerships with Traditional Authorities Project (PPTAP) (World Bank funded)
  • Social Investment Fund Project, Phase 1 (Donor Funded)
  • Sunyani Polytechnic Science Park Project (Government of Ghana Funded)
  • Construction of Sports Complex and Associated External Works for University of Education Mampong Campus (Government of Ghana Funded)

Mr. Agyemang-Badu has attended several Professional Seminars, both locally and internationally, notable among them being Infrastructure Project Financing, Africa Conference in Cape Town, South Africa in March 2014; The World Congresses of the International Cost Engineering Council in Milan, Italy in 2014 and Durban, South Africa in 2012 and Certificate of Participation in Procedures and Documentation of Public Procurement Act 2003 (Act 663) in Ghana, August 2005.

In March 2013, Mr. Agyemang-Badu was a Member of the Team that represented the Government of Ghana to embark on a Study Tour in Malaysia and Singapore to draw up experiences and best practices towards the establishment of a Construction Industry development Board in Ghana.

He has also had training in Procurement fraud Prevention, in Accra, Ghana (2011); Project Management and Modern Construction Technologies in India (October – November 2003) and in the Use of local resources in Construction Projects in Nigeria – (November – December 1999).

As well as being appointed as chairperson to several governmental Tender Evaluation panels, he is also able to deliver quality professional lectures, seminars and workshops whilst managing multi projects. From 2012 to date, he has been an Examiner to the Quantity Division of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors, in the Professional Qualification Examinations on Pre-Contract Practice.
