Dr. Barnor is a corporate banker, financial analyst, accounting expert and economist with over 25 years of post-doctoral experience in investment banking, international finance and accounting—including management information systems, systems design and control systems, as well as organizational and management development. He is an apt diagnostician with extensive exposure to all aspects of intentional finance, including money market, foreign exchange and commodities markets, and his savvy stemmed from projects executed on behalf of major international financial and commercial giants, such as Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation, Drexel Burnham Lambert, Credit Commercial De France, GKN Economics, New Zealand Apple & Pear Marketing Board, and the Sock Shop.

Dr. Barnor’s areas of expertise include Investment Banking, Corporate Restructuring, Investment and Asset Management, Accounting Systems Appraisal & Analysis, Economic Analysis, Financial Markets (stock broking, money market and commodities), and Real estate.

Starting with the successful restructuring of NTHC, Ltd. upon his return to Ghana as a consulting assignment in 1996—and then joining the firm as General Manager and later appointed as Managing Director—Dr. Barnor led the design, development, introduction and marketing of highly innovative investment products that placed NTHC in the high-end Ghana’s fast developing market.  Underwritings, public flotation (equity and debt), private placements, provision of pension products, trusteeships and registrar services are among the products and services in which he has demonstrated adeptness. Dr. Barnor also nurtured the restructuring of NTHC Properties to profitability and is conversant with all aspects of the Real Estate Industry.
