Mr. Otchere will soon graduate as a Chartered Accountant from the Ghanaian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He currently holds a Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting option) from the Institute of Professional Studies, Legon. He worked as an accountant at Akim Tafo Rural Bank, and as an Accounting Officer at Architectural and Engineering Services, Limited. Mr. Otchere oversees the company’s financial planning, bookkeeping and internal audit activities. In this role, he also supervises the treasury, accounting, budget and taxation processes. He is also responsible for preparing financial/accounting systems and for controlling the timely assessment and review of financial reports for management/board action. Other job duties include: supervision and control of accounting staff; preparation of annual budgets for management approval and reporting on variances; ensuring strict compliance with guidelines, policies and manual of procedures; and updating accounts, records, documents, etc. in order to ensure completeness, accuracy and reliability; and reviewing, collating and presenting accounting and finance reports to the Board of Directors.
